From the beginning, the social network VK, like all other social networks, started with the slogan of 'security' and 'not disclosing user information'. However, this slogan didn't last long. In 2014, under pressure from the Russian government, Pavel Durov was asked to close some VK group channels and disclose the information of several users. Even with financial offers, Pavel Durov refused to give in and disclose the information of users who trusted his social network. Ultimately, under this pressure, he was forced to leave Russia and hand over and sell VK which is now controlled by Russian government.
